Post of shame

Well, it’s been a week since the juice cleanse post, and this will be the theme song of this post:

I just couldn’t even.

It only took hours for my juice cleanse to turn into wine and popcorn cleanse.

Hence my post of shame.

I just don’t understand.  How could people live this way?  How do people go DAYS without eating breadsticks?????????????????

I probably almost died. Not really, but it sure felt like it.

This is now going to be a reflection post of my learning experience thus far.

So, #1 juicing didn’t work out for me and I can already see the landwhale in my grad photos that will forever be on my parents’ and grandparents’ walls… but #yolo.  Juicing was incredibly hard because it didn’t suppress my appetite whatsoever, and I think juicing would work for me as a maybe an addition to my regular meal plan rather than as a detox or meal replacement.

#2. Intermittent fasting works for me – but it’s no different from my regular diet.  So, I go to bed early and I wake up early… but I also have 40 litres of coffee before noon.

So, I’m regularly not eating before 2pm every day.  And since I’m and early riser, I’m in bed my 9pmish every night, and therefore am not eating after 8pm.  Because of this, intermittent fasting is something I’ve ALWAYS done I guess and due to that I never saw any “special” or “extra” progress due to using this diet method.

#3. I haven’t went back to being keto since my “cheat day.”

So currently accepting all of your thoughts and prayers.

I hope you all now understand why this is definitely the blog post version of the walk of shame or shower of shame or anything to do with shame.  I’m hoping after this week my life will settle so I can get back into routine to find new things to learn about.

Any suggestions from anyone????

I’m sorry that I don’t have any suggestions but I do want to thank you for your honesty. Reading your post made me smile especially because of your use of giphs and memes. Good luck getting back to it.

Hey! You are already better than me for actually starting the diets. I tell myself I should be too but never ever make the attempt. I sadly have not been keeping up with your posts so I don’t know what you have tried so far but some of my suggestions are:
    1) Always eat after you wake up and make sure to include protein. Not eating after you wake up will make the body think that it is starving and will store fat when you do eat to help prepare for it. Protein kick starts your metabolism.
    2) Instead of going on juicing or fasting, try eating small portions throughout the day. Aim for about 3 moderate meals with snacks in between. This makes your digestive system to constantly work throughout the day. I forgot the exact reason why this was good but maybe you can search it up!
Good luck and keep us updated!

Thanks for the suggestions! I’m trying to learn about exercise “fads,” and was intermittent fasting previously so the 3 moderate meals and eating when I wake up wouldn’t work doing that as I was only eating between 2pm and 8pm… emphasis on ‘was’ though haha!!

First of all, I would like to congratulate you on how long you lasted! Carbs are my life and without them I think I may slowly disappear! Food is so wonderful and I could not image replacing it to drink juice. Don’t get me wrong, juice is great, but with a full meal!
Honestly, I don’t have any suggestions for you because I am not the one for diets, but I wanted to thank you for how much honestly you put into this post. I hope this allows others that are dieting to realize that there are always ups and downs and you may fall off the wagon a couple of times and that is okay! Thank you!
